The city of San Luis Potosí, commonly called SLP or simply San Luis, is the capital and the most populous city of the Mexican state of San Luis Potosí. It is a growing city with a large manufacturing industry. It also has a lovely colonial historic center (listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site). The gay and lesbian scene is lively and active.
With almost 40% of the state's population in the metropolitan area of the capital, other areas do not have much of a developed LGBT community and we are not aware of any LGBT bars or meeting places outside the capital. Let us know if you discover some!
