Guanajuato state has a number of different cities which have attractions for the LGBT community. We've split our listings into five different pages:

• León - The state's largest city is often overlooked by tourists but has a big gay scene.

• Irapuato - The state's second largest city is also not really a tourist spot but also has a substantial gay scene.

• San Miguel de Allende - a city famous for its art and artists and has a huge expat community as is very LGBT welcoming.

• Guanajuato city - The state capital and seat of the university has a big LGBT population and is a popular tourist destination.

• Celaya, Pozos and Salamanca - The rest of the state is covered here. There is an active LGBT community in these other smaller cities as well.

The LGBTIQ+ community of Irapuato, Guanajuato will have their pride march on Saturday June 21

June 21, 2025: Dolores Hidalgo Pride March

The pride march in Dolores Hidalgo, Guanajuato is on Saturday June 21 at 17:00 hrs at Estacionamiento de Presidencia

July 12, 2025: San Miguel de Allende Pride March

San Miguel de Allende, Guanajuato will have their annual pride march on Saturday July 12. Parque Benito Juarez / 4 pm.
