Chiapas is a state known for indigenous culture with ten federally recognized ethnicities. Tourists tend to come for the Mayan ruins in Palenque and other spots or for the colonial city of San Cristobál de las Casas which has a rich culture. The state capital Tuxtla Gutiérrez and San Cristóbal de las Casas have the most options for LGBT visitors. Please see our pages for:
