Sprawling Mexico City (CDMX) has a huge gay scene with so many places to go out, to relax, to see culture and so much more. The city is modern and progressive too. Same sex marriage has been legal since 2010 and the local government has supported LGBT causes and there is a well developed infrastructure of support for the community. Enjoy all Mexico City has to offer, we're sure the friendly Chilangos will make you feel welcome!

May 17, 2025: Pride March LGBTIQA+ Iztapalapa

The 10th annual LGBTIQA+ Pride March in Iztapalapa, CDMX will take place Saturday May 17. Meet at 11:00 outside metro Constitución de 1917.

June 21, 2025: 5th CDMX Lencha March

The Lencha (Lesbian) March in Mexico City will be on Saturday June 21

June 28, 2025: Mexico City LGBTTTIQ+ Pride March 47

The 47th Mexico City LGBTTTIQ+ Pride March is Saturday June 28.

As always the march will start at 10 a.m. from the Ángel de la Independencia.

Centro Histórico

Few neighborhoods anywhere contain as much history, architecture, culture and just plain life—high, low and otherwise—as does Mexico City’s ancient downtown. After some recent tough times, the Centro is reasserting its central place in the urban fabric—and is an essential stop for every LGBT visitor Its streets are jammed with incredible architecture; great new hotels and restaurants join old-schoolers that have been there forever. Not least of all, LGBT nightlife is booming downtown. Calle República de Cuba is the center of gay life downtown and is lined with gay bars and rainbow flags. The neighborhood’s intangible urbanity, seemingly lost in time, is something that LGBT people truly appreciate: the city as a place of surprises and freedom; a pageant of the grand and the humble; the temple of high culture, next door to the dive-y corner bar.

Condesa

Condesa is the most trendy neighborhood in Condesa right now and it's where many in the gay community live, go out for dinner and hang out in cafes or drink with friends. There are some clubs or club nights located in Condesa but it's mostly a more mixed scene with plenty of gorgeous guys and girls to cruise.

Roma

The Roma neighborhood is a little grittier and less green than next door Condesa but it makes up for it with the hippest bars, restaurants, cafes and galleries. With lots of beautiful architecture, some restored and some crumbling still, the neighborhood has lots to see.

Zona Rosa

The "Pink Zone" is a neighborhood filled with shops, restaurants, tourist hotels and is the center of the gay and lesbian community in Mexico City. The heart of the gay action is a short stretch of Calle Amberes which is non-stop gay, with bar after bar packed into the block south of Paseo de la Reforma.
