Ajijic and Chapala are located on the shores of Lake Chapala, just 45 minutes from Guadalajara but very different from the big city. Long known for its artists, Ajijic has also become known as a LGBT-friendly place for men and women seeking a slower place of life. Its narrow cobblestone streets and colorful facades offer plenty of charm.
Every November, the town celebrates Chapala Pride.
We are not aware of any LGBT places in Ocotlán or Jocotepec at this time but they both have annual pride marches.
